Turns out they never fixed it correctly, they broke part of my intake system and welded it poorly back in place and never told me about it. Plus they never put it back together right before giving it back to me. I was then given a trashed car with burn holes in upholstery, non working side mirrors, drivers seat wouldn't go up, rear drivers door wouldn't open from outside and 117k miles which I had to fight to get since I had to return my car for further repairs.
Turns out, he admitted they had never done a turbo repair, nor did he have any clue what it was supposed to sound like. I then witnessed Paul using Google search to find out what was wrong with my vehicle and how to repair it, even printing out stories on what other people had done to take down to the actual guy who worked on my vehicle.
Oh, and they failed to put the engine cover back on when they gave it back to me the 2nd time. Now he is holding it and refuses to give it back.
NEVER use his services or you'll regret it.
When I got my vehicle back for the 2nd time, the noise had improved but was still present. I then took it to the dealership and was told that it was so loose that the turbo (original thing that needed repaired) was shifting back n forth and that things were zip tied (yes, zip tied) into place.
Wish I could give 0 stars. Horrible service from owner and shop.
I trusted Paul Knott and he treated me with utter disrespect and condescending ignorance.
4th time renting a car here, very clean and they ran great. Always got a return on my deposit immediatly. recommend renting here
I walked in to reserve a van for the following week, the computers were not working at the time so he took my name and number saying he would call either that evening or next day to let me know if they had a van available, which he said he most likely would. I never received a call from him, and when I left a message he still did not return my call. Horrible customer service. I went elsewhere to rent a van, it may have cost slightly more but they have unlimited mileage and you keep the vehicle for 24 hours. Lumpp lost my business.
They completely botched the repair job. They had my vehicle for 2.5 weeks and I Was charged for 16 hours of labor on a job that should have taken 5.5 hours. I Was then given my vehicle back and told it was fixed but had to call and bring the vehicle back within driving 2 miles because it was still making noise. I was told it was supposed to make that noise and that I was wrong, didn't know what I was talking about, and my car was a "piece of $h!t!".
I was able to stop payment on $1200 but Paul refuses to return the $1000 I had put down. I now have to pay the dealership to do everything all over again PLUS repair the intake that was broken by Lumpp.
Never will spend that much for a rental and get a rusty car dirty inside and makes rumbling noise
Dirty inside and outside, oil needs changed, no winshield washer fluid. Sucks
In addition, Paul chose to text me and harass me, telling me what a horrible person I was and that I "went behind his back" by having another place check the repairs on my vehicle. Yes, he did offer to tear the engine down a 3rd time, but i declined because they had already failed to repair it correctly the first 2 times, I was given a horrible/dirty loaner that I had to fight to get in the first place, and I was cursed at and spoken to like I was the dirt under his shoes, so no, I did not let him attempt repairs a 3rd time.
At this time I still have not gotten all my money back, despite having to go to another place to have the repairs done correctly. I was given an unsafe vehicle to drive (both in my car and the loaner) with him knowing I have young kids.
